EDUCATION NEWS

  • Northwest Technical Institute now has a full Board after Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders appointed Jason Coyle and reappointed Derek Gibson, with terms expiring in June 2029 and June 2028 (respectively). GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A new Arkansas law now requires every health insurance plan to cover bariatric surgery and its related care for adults meeting set BMI criteria—this law took effect on January 1 and excludes weight-loss drugs. The change ensures pre-op assessments and post-op follow-ups are part of the coverage.  5 News
