  • Arvest Bank is testing a program to designate three bilingual branches to serve Spanish speakers, with the first on South Pleasant Drive in Springdale reopening in the third quarter.   • Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville reported a year-over-year increase in concurrent credit course enrollment today as the spring semester begins (the report shows more students compared to last year).  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • University of Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr. earned his record fifth straight SEC freshman honor on Monday after scoring 45 points in two key road games (at Ole Miss and Auburn), and he could pad his streak when the Razorbacks host South Carolina at Walton Arena on Wednesday.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Rainbow trout were stocked in Lake Atalanta in Rogers as part of the statewide Family and Community Fishing Program, allowing anglers 16 and older with the proper licenses to catch up to five trout per day.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
