- ➤ Poultry farmers in Northwest Arkansas face uncertainty as a judge ruled that litter handling practices must change — with George’s Incorporated agreeing to cover cleanup costs while Tyson Foods weighs contract renewals. Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond said the state is working toward a settlement next month to support family farms. 4029 News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Arkansas health officials said more than 20 flu deaths and 650 hospital stays have occurred this season as cases rise; they urge residents to get vaccinated (this can help lessen severe illness) and wash hands to slow the spread. Nationwide, over 7,000 flu deaths have been recorded (a sign of the flu’s impact). 5 News
