  • At the Bentonville Rotary Club meeting Monday night, OZ Trails Bike Park manager Gary Vernon said the state's first chairlift-access bike park in Bella Vista is expected to open this summer. He noted a study from UA's Walton College found biking generated $159 million in economic impact last year.  4029 News

  • Whole Foods Market's second location in Rogers will host a grand opening on Wednesday, Feb. 18, starting at 8 a.m. with free coffee & Ozark Natural Breads samples for the first 300 customers; the store will officially open at 9 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.  4029 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • NWACC announced its men's and women's soccer programs will host home games at Rogers Heritage High School’s David Gates Stadium — women's on Sept. 9 and men's on Sept. 16. The college board also approved tuition increases for the upcoming academic year.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Benton County Quorum Court approved an ordinance on Jan. 29 to create a regional industrial development authority following debates that began in September, with the measure passing by a 12-1 vote and one abstention to guide future industrial growth.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
