- ➤ A fatal crash report from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety says an 11-year-old boy died Sunday evening near the intersection of South 47th and West Poplar streets after stepping out of a moving vehicle and being struck by a 2016 Ford Explorer traveling north at about 8:03 p.m. and he was taken to Mercy hospital. - ➤ Rogers residents will be able to have their photos and paper documents shredded free at City Hall at 301 W. Chestnut St. on April 22 from 10 a.m.–1 p.m.—participants must show a utility bill or driver’s license as proof of residency and may bring up to three banker-size boxes per trip. - ➤ The Arkansas House approved a bill on Tuesday, April 15 that lets the governor fire current State Library Board members and select new ones — the change is meant to reconstitute the board. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Arkansas St.—worrying that new commercial uses will increase traffic and reduce parking—while saying the change will disturb neighborhood peace.
