ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Two Rogers officers were injured when an officer cleaning a firearm accidentally discharged it — the round hit his leg and then struck a colleague's foot — and although neither injury is life-threatening, both officers were taken to a local hospital while the department begins an internal investigation.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Thursday, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral arguments on the LEARNS Act Indoctrination section but did not take further action on Attorney General Tim Griffin's request to lift a court order that stops the state from enforcing it.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders vetoed House Bill 1889 that would have allowed drive-through dispensary access for medical marijuana to help patients such as Cindy Moffitt, who has stage four cancer.
