ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Arkansas' jobless rate in March climbed slightly to 3.7% from 3.4% a year ago—still below the national rate of 4.2%. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Hope Academy will close its Highfill campus at the end of the school year—final classes are on May 27—to start a new program that offers trauma-informed academic and health support to students statewide. The school received a unanimous vote to dissolve and will work with local schools to support its 50 current students. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Hope Academy in Highfill will close its physical school at the end of this school year with classes ending May 27—while it shifts to a shared service model to offer trauma care to K-12 schools statewide. A pilot program is underway with a full rollout expected in the 2026-27 school year to help students who have had hard times. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
