- ➤ Crystal Bridges will launch its Art in Bloom event on May 23 with indoor flower arrangements paired with art and then move outdoors on May 24 when local gardeners design container gardens along the trails until June 8. A Garden Party is set for June 1 from noon to 4 p.m. and a free Lightning Bug Bonanza will occur on June 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.—the events give visitors many ways to explore art. - ➤ Bentonville took advantage of a Rogers throwing error—winning 2-1 in extra innings during the Class 6A state softball semifinal Saturday at Tiger Athletic Complex. - ➤ Rogers Heritage upset Bentonville on May 17 — reaching the Class 6A soccer championship for the first time — while Catholic returned to the title match in the state tournament game. The match was held at Bentonville High Tiger Athletic Complex — where Reece Simon felt confused after thinking he had scored — marking a historic milestone for Rogers Heritage.
