Good morning, Rogers.

Andrea Rogers began her writing career at 50 and texted her brother a photo of her book cover when she received advanced copies of 'Chooch Helped.' The book earned a Caldecott Medal and an Oklahoma Book Award this year.

The Rogers Historic Preservation Coordinator is a new role set up by the Rogers Historical Museum to update over 130 historic property listings in Benton County—museum director Serena Barnett said the position will work with the Historic District Commission to guide local preservation efforts.

Homeowners in Rogers are urged to get ready for summer yard work with a master class that shows how to do the Lawn Mower Start exercise to help avoid back injuries.

The guide, given by trainer Matt Parrott and demonstrated by personal trainer Paul Fajer from Little Rock Athletic Club, advises stretching key muscles before hard work—a simple way to keep safe.
