CULTURE NEWS

  • Residents and visitors in Rogers can participate in a new scavenger hunt that begins at the Rogers Historical Museum and spans five historic legs across town. The event runs through Aug. 29 and celebrates America’s 250th birthday with a $250 drawing for families who complete all legs.  4029 News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Since 2023, NWTF and USFS have partnered on projects to improve wild turkey habitats in Arkansas oak forests. Their work uses science-backed methods — including nine stewardship agreements in the state — to boost sustainable habitat management in the Mid-South Rebirth region.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • At Tuesday night’s meeting, Rogers City Council transferred nearly $15.9 million from its FEMA recovery account back to the General Fund as recovery projects wind down and honored city employees by naming May 26 City Employee Appreciation Day two years after the tornado.  5 News

  • Houston-based Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café will host its grand opening in Rogers at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade, 2203 Promenade Blvd., Space 8105 on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The café serves sweet and savory crêpes, waffles, croffles and carefully crafted lattes in a Parisian-inspired setting.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • At a special school board meeting Monday, Pea Ridge promoted assistant coach Max Hotelling to head football and on Tuesday, Reed Smith became head coach for girls basketball.
