- ➤ Carrie Smith, age 60 and a Benton County Quorum Court member from Rogers, declared her candidacy on Friday to run for county judge after incumbent Barry Moehring said he will not seek a fourth term. Smith, who has served District 5 since 2019 and works as a consultant, said she will balance county growth—especially for rural areas—and her campaign will kick off with a primary on March 3.
