Good morning, Rogers.

After six-year-old Odin Upton was reported missing Thursday night and his body found Friday morning in a nearby pond, authorities with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office continued their open investigation while the community rallied with donations (groceries, clothes, and essentials) to support the grieving family.

Andrew McGann, 28, accused of a double murder at Devil’s Den State Park on July 26, applied for teaching jobs at local districts—Springdale Public Schools hired him for the next school year though he has not taught while Fayetteville and Bentonville said he was not hired.

Students in our area will start the 2025-26 school year on different days, and a searchable online list shows the first day for each public school district—families can use this tool to get ready for school.

The list includes districts with both primary and secondary grade students.
