- ➤ The Rogers Public Library moved hundreds of adult fiction books into its community room last week to make room for roof and other damage repairs following the May 2024 tornado—repairs that are set to start at any moment while the library continues to offer limited service and has paused its community room programs. BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Tyson Foods named Devin Cole as its new chief operating officer, and he will oversee the company’s poultry, beef, pork, prepared foods and international segments. The company said Cole brings 30 years of industry experience while leadership updates ahead of the fiscal year starting Sept. 28 include the immediate departure of Brady Stewart. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ ROGERS — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is accepting applications from adjacent landowners to burn driftwood and flood debris on public land around Beaver Lake until Aug. 15, 2026. Applicants must follow rules such as notifying the local fire department and burning only driftwood. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ At Bella Vista Country Club Tuesday, Bentonville's men's team won the Wolverine Invitational with a team score of 280 while the women's team earned first place with a score of 246—Grace Abbruzzese hit a hole-in-one on a 112-yard par 3 that highlighted the sweep. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
