- ➤ A Central Arkansas mother and daughter went on trial Monday in federal court for charges related to a 2023 fentanyl incident—one that resulted in a Pulaski County woman's death. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ State officials say they are requesting a fitness to proceed exam for Rogers psychiatrist Brian Hyatt, accused of Medicaid fraud, with a new hearing set for Dec. 8 as his trial dates have been repeatedly postponed. 5 News
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The annual World Championship Squirrel Cookoff will begin 9 a.m. Saturday at the Hunt Family Nature Center in Springdale where forty teams will cook squirrel dishes and present them to judges at noon. Vendors will have booths with outdoor items and free recipe samples—Joe Wilson said teams are encouraged to prepare extra dishes for the crowd. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
