COMMUNITY NEWS

  • On Saturday, Rogers hosted the annual Tamale Festival at Rendezvous Junction Brewing Co.—the event organized by Tamales for Toys raised funds to support local children and families during the holiday season. The nonprofit, which has helped hundreds of children since 2020, expects to triple its impact as the festival grows during Hispanic Heritage Month.  5 News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Benton County will no longer pass state funds to Siloam Springs for its 911 call center next year—an agreement since 2023 that was questioned by the county's former public safety administrator.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • On Sept. 6, a local hunter in Rogers and his friend Brad Conley joined a bucks-only archery hunt at The Hendricks near West Fork in Washington County. The hunter surprised himself by successfully shooting a legal yearling buck in velvet with spike antlers using his crossbow—he and Conley later recovered the buck after an hour-long search in the dark.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
