- ➤ The Northwest Arkansas Land Trust announced that 62 acres on Beaver Lake were placed under a conservation easement donated by Jacklyn Perry Ryan in the Sonora community east of Springdale—Beaver Water District provided funding as part of its source water protection plan. - ➤ The Highfill City Council approved a settlement agreement with the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Authority on Wednesday that ended years of litigation and now allows the airport to detach from the city—finalizing their long dispute. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Arkansas Children's Northwest in Springdale is expanding in an $82.7 million project that adds 50,000 square feet of finished space and updates 23,000 square feet of existing area. The hospital will include new surgery and lab areas—helping it recruit over 100 new providers and 400 team members and be open for overnight patients in about a year. 4029 News
