CRIME NEWS

  • Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin's office arrested three non-citizens who cast ballots illegally in elections last year after a federal tip led to the probe+ the women—including Cecelia Castellanos of Rogers, Zlata Risley of Hot Springs, and Chi Baum of Texarkana—face charges ranging from election law violations to perjury.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Chickin’, Peelin’ and Politickin’ was held at Shiloh Square in Springdale even though several congressional leaders stayed in Washington due to the government shutdown — drawing hundreds of local officials and business figures. State lawmakers discussed issues such as a vacant Senate seat and election law changes — and organizers hope full leadership will attend next year.  4029 News
  • At Rogers City Hall on Thursday, city leaders heard from landscape architect Megan Born that the Razorback Greenway for biking and walking needs more side trails, shade, and local spots for rest + easier access from neighborhoods.   • Benton County officials said that on Wednesday evening a semi-truck crossed War Eagle Bridge against posted limits and caused minor damage to its railing, overhead members, and deck boards.   • University of Arkansas four-star men's basketball prospect Abdou Toure will announce his college decision today, choosing among the Razorbacks, Connecticut and Providence.   • Today, a report shows how Arkansas’ 2026 football players are performing with stats for rushing, catching and tackling.   • Senior running back Titus Cramer transferred from Springdale Har-Ber and quickly became a key player for the Rogers Mountaineers—helping the team to a 4-0 start by playing both offense and defense.
