  • Tasha Tandy, a thyroid cancer survivor, took the stage today in Bentonville as the honorary chair for the Suits and Sneakers Gala—a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society—stressing that early testing and self-advocacy saved her life after she lost her parents and husband to cancer.  4029 News
  • A March of Dimes study found that many counties in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley are maternity care deserts—over 45% of local counties lack hospitals with obstetric services, with seven labor and delivery units closed since 2019. Local officials and lawmakers warn that looming Medicaid cuts under the One Big Beautiful Bill could further limit access to care for pregnant women.  4029 News
