- ➤ Three Arkansan companies and a school received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Global Trade last week—Push Plastic from Springdale, FX3D from Rogers and Lifeplus International from Batesville were honored—boosting Arkansas’ reputation in global exports. - ➤ Rogers High School crowned its 2025 Homecoming Court on Oct 10 to honor seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen, naming a crown bearer, queen, king, and ball bearer. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Northwest Arkansas Land Trust announced it received a permanent conservation easement on 75 acres near Elkins to protect pasture, woodlands, and ponds in the Beaver Lake watershed. The land is owned by Tom and Judy Costello (including over 60 acres of mature woods and three ponds) and the easement was funded by Beaver Water District and the Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Division (using an EPA grant) to keep the area safe from development.
