  • Four Arkansas business leaders have been named to the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business' Arkansas Business Hall of Fame—an honor recognizing their lasting impact and leadership. ECONOMY NEWS

  • High-tech jobs in Northwest Arkansas grew 8.3% more than in six peer cities between 2023 and 2024, as shown by the annual State of the Region Report released on Thursday — the council CEO said bold action is needed to keep pace with top regions. EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Bentonville School Board voted on Oct. 22 to drop class rankings for the senior class of 2026, which means no valedictorian or salutatorian will be named. Rogers Public Schools also ended rankings to reduce unhealthy competition among students (a change supported by community feedback on mental health).  5 News

SPORTS NEWS

  • Former assistant coaches Jody Grant and Chad Harbison recalled the 2006 overtime game at Gates Stadium when Rogers beat Bentonville in front of over 10,000 fans. Rogers remains undefeated this season and will host Bentonville at Whitey Smith Stadium Thursday — both teams preparing for a key rivalry contest.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Today, Bentonville held off Rogers in the final seconds of a 7A-West Conference game to win 31-28. The win moved Bentonville into first place while Rogers ended the contest short of a victory.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
