- ➤ Walmart Inc. bought two parcels in Benton County for $15.5 million, totaling nearly 90 acres, late last month—county records show the retailer has no plans for using the land. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ Producers of the documentary Daughter of the White River said the final edit will premiere at noon on November 22 at Ron Robinson Theatre and will examine the life and death of folk heroine Helen Spence. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Act 590 — which bans sales of unapproved vapes — will be enforced on Nov. 1. Retailers must check a regulated list of 12 manufacturers and 140 products — they will have 120 days to remove any non-listed items, and the law also bans ads targeting minors and vaping in schools, child care and health care facilities. 4029 News
