COMMUNITY NEWS

  • A list of food banks and pantries is available to help those who lost SNAP benefits and need food. The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank organizes mobile stops in several towns — including a stop in Rogers on Nov. 14 at Cross Church— and local centers like Feed Rogers and school pantries also offer support.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • 40/29 and Arkansas CW’s Early Bird Turkey Drive have launched a donation drive for families in need—drop-off sites at Rogers Walmart and Fort Smith Walmart plus additional regional locations will accept donations on November 14th to support local food banks.  4029 News
  • Staff at The Community Table food pantry in Bentonville said rising food insecurity is straining their supplies as they already served 52 families by noon on Monday during their four-hour window. Pastor Debbie Martin said the pantry may soon limit what each family receives — a step needed to stretch orders from the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.  4029 News

  • Jim Gaffigan will perform at the Walmart AMP in Rogers on May 1 as part of his 2026 Everything Is Wonderful tour and tickets will go on sale on November 7 after a presale begins on November 5.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Rogers officials announced that the city’s contracted waste provider LRS will pick up bagged leaves curbside on residents’ regular service day during Dec. 1-5. Residents must set bags out by 7 a.m. on their service day and follow rules on bag limits, weight, and placement, with extra bags dropped off at the Rogers Yard Waste Facility or picked up using biodegradable bags available in Springdale.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Rogers announced that its contracted provider LRS will collect bagged leaves curbside on residents’ regular service day from Dec 1-5 if bags are set out by 7 a.m. Residents must limit each household to 30 bags that weigh under 50 pounds and keep them separate from trash and vehicles — extra bags should be taken to the Rogers Yard Waste Facility or picked up using LRS biodegradable bags available in Springdale.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
