- ➤ Harps Food Stores is sponsoring the Gobble Gobble Giveaway 2025 that will give local residents a chance to win a free Butterball turkey for the holidays — fifteen winners will be selected each weekday from November 10 to November 21 — and winners will be contacted by 5NEWS by phone. 5 News
- ➤ Today, the Salvation Army in Northwest Arkansas is serving a hot meal at the Fayetteville and Bentonville shelters at 5 p.m.—with no questions asked. It is also offering a client choice pantry at Fayetteville on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon and on Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.—along with free clothing and vouchers for those in need. 4029 News
- ➤ The Give Where You Live campaign donated over 2 tons of food to help local families, and Harps stores (including the one in Rogers at 715 North 2nd Street) are still taking non-perishable items, so those in need can get meals. Food will go to local banks to support people facing food shortages. 5 News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ With SNAP benefits paused for November, Rogers Public Schools are offering extra food and supplies to support food insecure and homeless students. The district has opened a food pantry, provides free breakfast to every student, and works with local partners to ensure families get the help they need. 4029 News
- ➤ Northwest Arkansas Community College celebrated 25 years of its Certified Retail Analyst program Tuesday in Bentonville+college officials and business leaders recognized more than 1,000 graduates who helped shape retail analytics and prepare students for roles at major retailers like Walmart.
