- ➤ Local nonprofits in Northwest Arkansas have launched winter response plans to help residents without shelter as colder temperatures approach; the Northwest Arkansas Continuum of Care has partnered with groups—7Hills, Salvation Army and Genesis Church—to collect warm clothing and supplies when temperatures drop to 15 degrees. Community members are encouraged to donate blankets, coats and sleeping bags to help those at risk during the cold snap. 5 News
- ➤ At New Life Church in Fayetteville, about 200 volunteers packed over 1,000 boxes of nonperishable foods and protein coupons on Saturday, and the meals went to schools in Rogers, Fayetteville, Springdale, Farmington, and Huntsville (also serving local community agencies). 4029 News

- ➤ Food hubs have taken hold in Northwest Arkansas, linking local farmers with large wholesale buyers — Spring Creek in Springdale now works with 60 to 65 farms and public institutions like Fayetteville Public Schools.
