  • With temperatures expected to fall below freezing again Sunday night, local shelters will open to offer warm meals, blankets, and shelter for anyone in need. The Northwest Arkansas Continuum of Care has connected agencies such as the Salvation Army, Genesis Church, and Seven Hills Homeless Center—while officials call on more Benton County organizations to join the effort and support a sustained response.  4029 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Gravette gym teacher Madie Edwards was named America’s fittest educator by CrossFit after she ranked first in the U.S. and second worldwide in the 2025 CrossFit Service Cup — she also placed fifth in the Public Service Cup among public service athletes — and has earned a spot in the top 1% of athletes in the world.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • The Department of Public Safety launched a new program to standardize training for police chaplains+86 chaplains finished training in September to serve law enforcement agencies across Arkansas.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Arkansas men's basketball lost 69-66 to Michigan State on Nov. 8, with Coach Calipari saying the team learned from missed opportunities in key moments+ they will regroup while preparing to host Central Arkansas Tuesday.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Mike Nail, the longtime voice of Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball, died as the university announced on Sunday, November 9th. He retired after the 2009-2010 season and was known for calling the team's 1993-1994 championship season and three Final Four trips — his work left a lasting impact on Razorback fans.  4029 News
  • The Arkansas Razorbacks will visit the LSU Tigers on November 15 at 12:45 p.m. EST on SEC Network—both teams come off recent losses, with Arkansas’ record at 2 wins and 7 losses and LSU’s at 5 wins and 4 losses.  4029 News
