  • Residents in Springdale opposed SWEPCO's proposed rate hike—reduced from 27.3% to 24%—as they rallied and spoke at a hearing at NWACC on Thursday, voicing concerns over rising costs and proposed investments in the Flint Creek Coal Plant.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

HEALTH NEWS

  • The 2025 March of Dimes Report Card showed maternal and infant health improved with lower severe morbidity but still faced a 12.1% preterm birth rate.
