ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Northwest Arkansas Land Trust plans to protect 34 acres in Springtown that include Big Spring, the source of Flint Creek, and Camp Moonlight—a Civil War campsite where the 6th Kansas Regiment camped in 1863. The land was donated by the Walton Family Foundation in December 2024 and will be kept off-limits to the public. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ Airport officials withdrew an offer made to Highfill as part of a detachment plan (which aimed to assist with bond payments) and rejected the city's reading of a March agreement.
