- ➤ State government and the Northwest Arkansas Council are splitting the cost of a $1,049,000 study to find new ways to handle wastewater as growth strains local systems. Hawkins-Weir Engineers is leading the study—this regional project will take 18 months and include local input to plan sewer improvements. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is holding a Boots, Badges and Bandages Blood Drive today at Gravette Civic Center and Ozarks Community Hospital from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—donors receive free Zoo tickets and a T-shirt—and it will host another drive Friday at centers in Bentonville, Springdale, and Missouri that offers a chance to win a Kansas City Chiefs tailgate package.
