  • Onyx Coffee Lab is launching a limited-edition RED coffee sourced from East Africa that will donate 7.5% of net profits to support health care programs.   • Cindy Jo Allen was named vice president and assistant chief operating officer at Washington Regional Medical Center to manage surgical services, imaging, lab, therapy and pharmacy. CULTURE NEWS

  • Authorities will search for the remains of Lt. Col. Robert Vesey—a World War II soldier from Arkansas who gave his life to save a fellow soldier at a Japanese prisoner of war camp in Mindanao—as friend Ben Hagans recalled his bittersweet act. The planned search will honor Vesey’s legacy in a move that remembers his sacrifice.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • The high school football rankings show that Rogers in Class 7A-West is 3-0 and its team will travel to Fort Smith Northside on Friday – the rankings include teams like Bentonville and Bryant – as reported by Sam Lane.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • At Pinnacle Country Club on Saturday, heavy rain, thunder and lightning delayed tee times until 11:15 a.m.—and play was suspended at 3:30 p.m. Tournament officials said that grounds tickets purchased on Saturday can be redeemed today, while BITE Experience ticket holders will be refunded and given complimentary grounds tickets.  4029 News
